The 2009 MSA ENGLISH RALLY CHAMPIONS
The final round of the Championship was the Tempest 2 Rally on Saturday 7th November and the key question was whether Graham Middleton / Ella Flynn could score sufficient points to depose erstwhile leaders Jon Ballinger / Alistair Douglas. After a big effort to get the Suzuki ready for the event, in the end it was all to no avail when they suffered a broken driveshaft on SS4 and were forced to retire. Kieran & Lyndsey Darrington went on the claim class E1 points whilst John Woodward’s points in Class E3 were sufficient to move him up to 3rd overall in the Drivers’ Championship.
So congratulations to Jon & Alistair who are the 2009 MSA English Rally Champions.
